Floors such as Victorian, Minton, Quarry and Terracotta can not only be very old, but over the year’s various products have but applied, often over layers of dirt, and even to cover the stone. It’s vital these old seals and finishes are removed before any real cleaning can take place.
Cleaning Methods
Again, every stone has different methods to achieve the best possible results. The trial is the key to obtaining the best solutions and procedures suitable for your floor, and your situation. We have various machines to deal with every eventuality, from rotary machines, to oscillating and contra rotating brush machines. We can rinse your floor with up to 1000psi of water pressure with our powerful van mounted machine. Our specialist tools mean no splashing as the solutions are simultaneously extracted back out to our van. This coupled with our solution knowledge and range, we can transform any floor, natural or manmade.
Polishing, Finishing & Sealing
There are various options for each floor type regarding the final appearance, from super shiny, to silky and matt.
We can naturally polish a floor using no solutions only diamonds, this is suitable for floors such as Marble, Travertine, Limestone and Granite etc.
We can use dressings on floors such as Victorian, Quarry and Terracotta to give an otherwise matt looking tile a sheen. We use matt wax, satin and high sheen dressing to achieve the desired results. Maintained correctly they provide a tough topical barrier to not only give a fantastic finish, but also protect your floor.
Sealing Natural Stone Floors is essential. We recommend impregnating sealers to offer the best possible protection. Again, there are options to achieve different appearances, from a natural matt look, to a colour enhanced look to accentuate natural colours and markings in your floor.
